card reader

Note:

This feature is only available in the Enterprise Edition.

Here you can find a detailed comparison of the Small Business Edition and the Enterprise Edition.

SEPA-Transfer Supports chip card readers. This allows account data to be read from chip cards in order to create postings.

If you use several chip card readers, you do not need to worry about which SEPA-Transfer should be used, as SEPA-Transfer takes entries from all readers into account. If a card cannot be read, an error message will appear at the bottom of the main window:

Error message for unreadable cards

EC card log

Warning: This function is only intended for experienced users.

This function is used to add a log file in which the IBAN of a read EC card is written. The path of the log file can be customized via the configuration file. To activate logging, close SEPA Transfer and carry out the following steps.

1.Open the file `SEPA-Transfer.config` in the folder `%APPDATA%\JAM Software\SEPA-Transfer` (this corresponds to `C:\Users\BENUTZERNAME\AppData\Roaming\JAM Software\SEPA-Transfer`, where you must replace BENUTZERNAME with your Windows user name).

2.Search for the entry `<ECCardLogFilePath></ECCardLogFilePath>` and insert the entire file path to be used under which the EC log is to be written (e.g. `<ECCardLogFilePath>D:\ec.log</ECCardLogFilePath>`). If the entry does not exist, start SEPA Transfer and close it again (the option is only inserted by the current SEPA Transfer version). Make sure that you have write access to the file!

3.As soon as the path is set, a line with the read EC data is added to the file when an EC card is inserted.

The format is `dd.mm.yyyyThh:mm:ss - KTO - BLZ - IBAN - BIC`. Example: `01.01.2014T12:00:00 - 123456 - 10000000 - DE73100000000000123456 - MARKDEF1100`

The file is overwritten each time SEPA Transfer is started so that the file contains one line for each EC card since the program was started.

The file is not deleted when SEPA Transfer is closed.
